The flexible and continuously spooled pipes provide for an extremely rapid installation at a lower cost. The use of advanced polymers and aramid fibre braid ensures corrosion resistance, high strength and a longer lifetime.

The LPG-Flex® pipes are installed in continuous runs between tank and dispenser, which eliminates all buried and inaccessible joints. The plastic inner wall is 100 times smoother than steel and smaller pipe diameters will give identical flow results as the typically larger steel pipes and flexible corrugated steel pipes.

LPG-Flex® pipes eliminate the disadvantages of traditional steel pipework, the welding with the required X-ray testing as well as the internal and external corrosion, a major concern of the safety authorities.

The LPG-Flex® pipes are used for the transport of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), propane, butane, pentane and dimethyl-ether (DME) in the liquid phase as well as in the gaseous phase.

J L Focus is once again introducing a new product that raises the standards in underground gas transportation. The new reinforced thermoplastic pipe “FP-Flex” is designed with (bio) methane applications in mind. It is a spin-off product of the well-known LPG-Flex® pipes, which show a more than a 10-year impeccable track record of quality, reliability and ease of installation in Europe and other countries in the world.

The “FP-Flex” pipes are flexible and always laid in continuous runs, allowing a rapid and low-cost installation. Using state-of-the-art polymers and aramid fibre reinforcement eliminates the corrosion, ensures pressure resistance and guarantees an almost unlimited lifetime. Continuous pipe
runs avoid inaccessible underground connections. The internal nylon liner is about 100x smoother than steel, considerably reducing pressure losses and increasing the flow rate for the same pipe diameter. FP-Flex pipes eliminate the disadvantages of traditional steel pipework: expensive and time-consuming welds with the associated X-ray inspections, and difficult to avoid and remedy internal and external corrosion, a major concern of the authorities in charge of safety

Applications

Anaerobic digestion in the European agronomic industry consists in the valorisation of organic waste by producing biomethane gas and digestate as fertilizer.
The biomethane gas is injected, after cleaning, in the city gas grid. In this application, the LP2375-500 pipe (DN48 – Pmax 35 bar) connects the cleaning and filtering equipment after the anaerobic digestion silos with the intermediate compressor. Between the compressor and the city gas grid, a high pressure pipe type LP1050-1200 (DN 25 – Pmax 80 bar) is put in place.
